We offer a variety of adventure activities like paragliding,  trekking, climbing, zip-lining etc.. We also have indoor games like carrom, chess, and cards. You can also enjoy a bonfire and stargazing at night. The details of FAQ are mentioned below 

Who Are We

PARAGLIDING

Q: How safe is paragliding?

A: Paragliding is safer than driving a car. The Glide Inn is an approved paragliding site by the Tourism Department, Govt. of Himachal Pradesh,  having experienced and licensed pilots. Each glider has a reserve parachute for extra safety measures. 

 

Q: How far is Junga from Shimla?

A: The Glide Inn, Junga is approximately 18 Kms from The Mall Road, Shimla and is easily accessible from Kufri - 24 Kms, Mashobra - 29 Kms, Chail - 14 Kms. 

 

Q: Where do we park our vehicles?

A: All vehicles are parked at the paragliding landing site and from there The Glide Inn vehicle takes the flyer to take off site. Post flight landing is done again at the landing site where the vehicle is parked.

 

Q: What is the flight time?

A: The average flight time is between seven to ten minutes, depending upon wind and weight. The total process time to accomplish the paragliding experiences takes around 50 minutes to an hour 

 

Q: What's the elevation of the take off point?

A: The take off point is at approximately 7000 feet and landing at 5000 feet.

 

Q: How good are the roads?

A: All roads from Shimla, Kandaghat and Chail are metalled. Last 200 metre upward stretch of the road is Cemented road. However all vehicles can come up to the Glide Inn landing point. 

 

Q: What's the min and max weight for paragliding?

A: A child of 12 years can do paragliding but not below this age. The maximum weight limit for paragliding at the Glide Inn is 98 Kgs. There is no upper age bar for having this experience. 

 

Q: What is the attire for Paragliding?

A: Comfortable two piece clothes are recommended along with sports shoes.  

 

Q: Is Videography done?

A: The entire flight is video recorded in GoPro and is transferred to the respective mobiles immediately on landing. The charges and extra and to be paid to the pilot. 

 

Q: Can we get something to eat?

A: There is a cafeteria wherein one can have veg and nonveg meals as well as snacks.

 

Q: Who should avoid Paragliding?

A: Those who suffer from anxieties, spine injury, asthma and blood pressure should avoid paragliding.  

 

Q: Precautions before flying?

A: On command of the pilot, when asked to run, don't sit, keep running before you are in the air. Before landing keep your legs straight. No foul language to be used while flying as the same is being recorded.  

 

Q: What's the best time to go paragliding in Shimla?

A: Except for the rainy season from 15th July to 15 th September, all the other weather months are good for flying.

 

Q: How to book the flight?

A: The flight can be booked online from the website or QR code can be asked from the company. Once the payment is done, booking stands are confirmed.

FIXED TENT CAMPING

Q: What kind of camping is available for us ?

A: Both Fixed and Dome tent campings are available. Fixed tents have double beds and dome tents have floor bedding.

 

Q: Is camping safe for children?

A: It's safe for both children and adults. Both fixed tents and Dome tents can be zipped.

 

Q: Is food included in camping?

A: Yes camping includes all three sumptuous and nutritious meals, morning and evening tea, bonfire and music.

 

Q: Timings of Music ?

A: Its between 8 pm to 9.45 pm

 

Q: What if it's too cold?

A: Quilts/blankets and extra sleeping bags if needed are provided.

DOME TENT CAMPING

Q: What kind of Dome tent camping?

A: Dome tent campings are of two types. One is twin sharing and the other is four sharing tent camping with  floor bedding.

 

Q: Is camping safe for children?

A: It's safe for both children and adults.  Dome tents can be zipped. Provided with blankets, pillows and if need be sleeping bags.

 

Q: Is food included in camping?

A: Yes camping includes all three sumptuous and nutritious meals, morning and evening tea, bonfire and music.

TREKKING

Q: Where do you start the trek from?

A: All treks start from The Glide Inn landing site.

 

Q: What kind of waterfall trek?

A: The waterfall trek is a moderate trek which can be covered in two hours.

Q: What's needed during treks?

A: Sports shoes, shades (optional), water bottle, comfortable clothes, backpack and preferably a towel.

 

Q: How many other treks are offered?

A: Trek to waterfalls - 2 hours, Trek to Old tara devi temple - 3 to 4 hours and Trek to take off point - 6-8 Hours.

TREK TO WATERFALLS

Q: How long is the trek?

A: The trek is around 4 kms and takes around two to three hours.

 

Q: What is the height of a waterfall?

A: The waterfall is around 100 feet high and perennial.

 

Q: Minimum age of kids for waterfall trek?

A: Children above 8 years can do it with ease.

TREE TOP ADVENTURE

Q: How Many activities are in tree top adventure?

A: There are around 9 activities - Bamboo ladder, Commando net, Mix bridge, Tyre walk, Bamboo walk, Zipline, Wire walk, Plank walk etc.

Q: How safe is Tree Top Adventure?

A: All the adventure activities are done with safety gear and under the supervision of TGI’s  experienced adventure instructors.

CORPORATE TEAM BUILDING

Q: What is the purpose of team building activities?

A: To create personal bonding and camaraderie amongst the participants and foster team spirit that goes a long way in improving  productivity, interpersonal personal communication and leadership skills.

 

Q: Are these team building activities standard?

A: Team building activities are generally customised according to the needs and objectives that a company would like to accomplish.

 

Q: Are these activities fun only ?

A: Fun, of course, is an integral part of these activities but company specified objectives also need to be accomplished. And that is where it gets a bit serious in terms of planning and execution.

SCHOOL CHILDREN PROGRAMME

Q: What is the purpose of a school children camping and learning program?
