THE Glide Inn offer a variety of adventure activities like Paragliding, Bungee, Camping, Zorbing, Trekking, Climbing, Zip lining etc. along with stay in luxury cottages and all of them exists at the Landing site .  The answer to FAQ are mentioned below 

PARAGIDING

Q :  What is paragliding?

A :  Paragliding is a recreational and competitive adventure sport where participants fly lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure. Pilots and passenger  sit in a harness suspended below a fabric wing, using rising air currents to gain altitude and stay aloft. Parading is is done both solo and tandem. 

 

Q : Where do I need to come for paragliding?

A : Paragliding in Shimla at The Glide Inn, is located in the vicinity of Junga, a small, sleepy and beautiful town

and is approximately 18 kms from Shimla, 24 km from Kufri and 13 km from Chail.

 

Q :  Is paragliding safe?

A : Paragliding at The Glide Inn is done by experienced and licensed pilots with utmost safety protocols and care.  Like any adventure sport, it involves inherent risks. However, adherence to safety protocols, regular training, and thorough pre-flight checks significantly mitigate these risks. Paragding is safer than driving a car.

Q :  Do I need any prior experience to paraglide?

A: No prior experience is necessary to start paragliding.

Q :  What dress should I wear for paragliding?

A : Comfortable two piece clothes with shoes are preferred for paragliding.

Q :  How much the paragliding cost 

A: The paragliding cost is Rs. 2850/- per person plus 5% GST. 

 

Q :  How about the cost of video, is it extra. 

A :  Yes. The Vedio is made through go pro and costs Rs.. 500 which needs to be paid to pilot on successful transfer to your mobile.

Q : Are there any age or weight requirements for paragliding?

A: The minimum age required for paragliding is 12 years and max weight is 98 Kgs.

Q : Time of fight and total duration of experience? 

A : The total fight time is between seven to twelve minutes and depends upon wind and weight. The total duration taken for this is forty minutes as one has to travel  9 kms up the hill to take off site. 
 

ZORBING BALL

FAQs for Zorbing Ball at The Glide Inn 

Q: What is Zorbing Ball?

A: Zorbing Ball is a thrilling adventure activity where participants roll down a hill inside a large, transparent inflatable ball.

 

Q: Is Zorbing safe?

A: Yes, Zorbing at The Glide Inn is conducted under strict safety protocols, with trained professionals ensuring a secure experience.

Q: Can children participate in Zorbing?

A: Yes, children above  age  of five years  can participate in Zorbing. However, parental supervision is advised.

 

Q: What should I wear for Zorbing?

A: Wear comfortable clothing and secure footwear. Avoid wearing loose accessories that might get caught during the activity.

 

Q: How long does a Zorbing session last?

A: A typical complete  Zorbing session at The Glide Inn lasts for approximately 5-10 minutes, right from going inside the ball, wearing the safety and coming back to the same place.

BUNGEE REVERSE

Q: What is Reverse Bungee?

A: Reverse Bungee is an adrenaline-pumping adventure activity where participants are launched backward into the sky using elastic cords, providing a thrilling free-fall sensation.

 

Q: Is Reverse Bungee safe?

A: Absolutely. The Glide Inn ensures the highest safety standards for Reverse Bungee, with trained professionals overseeing every aspect of the experience.

 

Q: Are there any age or weight restrictions for Reverse Bungee?

A: Yes, participants must meet the age of 10 years  requirements to ensure their safety. Please check with our staff for specific guidelines.

 

Q: What should I wear for Reverse Bungee?

A: Wear comfortable clothing and secure footwear. Avoid loose accessories that could interfere with the harness.

 

Q: How long does a Reverse Bungee session last?

A: A Reverse Bungee session typically lasts for a few minutes, but the adrenaline rush and memories will last a lifetime.

COTTAGES

Q: What types of cottages are available at The Glide Inn?

A: We offer cottages to suit different preferences, as the cottages have one double bed, one dome tent in mezzanine floor. Can comfortably accommodate 4 members of a family of a group.

Q: What amenities are included in the cottages?

A: Our cottages are equipped with modern facilities such as comfortable bedding, attached bathrooms, hot water supply, and scenic views of the surrounding landscapes.

 

Q: Are meals included in the cottage bookings?

A: Our plans include all three major meals. For rest we have  our on-site restaurant for a separate fee.

 

Q: Are the cottages pet-friendly?

A: We regret to inform you that pets are not allowed in our cottages to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests.

 

Q: Is there Wi-Fi available in the property?

A: Yes, we do have

FIXED TENT CAMPING

Q: What kind of camping is available for us ?

A: Both Fixed and Dome tent campings are available. Fixed tents have double beds and dome tents have floor bedding.

 

Q: Is camping safe for children?

A: It's safe for both children and adults. Both fixed tents and Dome tents can be zipped.

 

Q: Is food included in camping?

A: Yes camping includes all three sumptuous and nutritious meals, morning and evening tea, bonfire and music.

 

Q: Timings of Music ?

A: Its between 8 pm to 9.45 pm

 

Q: What if it's too cold?

A: Quilts/blankets and extra sleeping bags if needed are provided.

DOME TENT CAMPING

Q: What kind of Dome tent camping?

A: Dome tent campings are of two types. One is twin sharing and the other is four sharing tent camping with  floor bedding.

 

Q: Is camping safe for children?

A: It's safe for both children and adults.  Dome tents can be zipped. Provided with blankets, pillows and if need be sleeping bags.

 

Q: Is food included in camping?

A: Yes camping includes all three sumptuous and nutritious meals, morning and evening tea, bonfire and music.

TREKKING

Q: Where do you start the trek from?

A: All treks start from The Glide Inn landing site.

 

Q: What kind of waterfall trek?

A: The waterfall trek is a moderate trek which can be covered in two hours.

Q: What's needed during treks?

A: Sports shoes, shades (optional), water bottle, comfortable clothes, backpack and preferably a towel.

 

Q: How many other treks are offered?

A: Trek to waterfalls - 2 hours, Trek to Old tara devi temple - 3 to 4 hours and Trek to take off point - 6-8 Hours.

TREK TO WATERFALLS

Q: How long is the trek?

A: The trek is around 4 kms and takes around two to three hours.

 

Q: What is the height of a waterfall?

A: The waterfall is around 100 feet high and perennial.

 

Q: Minimum age of kids for waterfall trek?

A: Children above 8 years can do it with ease.

TREE TOP ADVENTURE

Q: How Many activities are in tree top adventure?

A: There are around 9 activities - Bamboo ladder, Commando net, Mix bridge, Tyre walk, Bamboo walk, Zipline, Wire walk, Plank walk etc.

Q: How safe is Tree Top Adventure?

A: All the adventure activities are done with safety gear and under the supervision of TGI’s  experienced adventure instructors.

CORPORATE TEAM BUILDING

Q: What is the purpose of team building activities?

A: To create personal bonding and camaraderie amongst the participants and foster team spirit that goes a long way in improving  productivity, interpersonal personal communication and leadership skills.

 

Q: Are these team building activities standard?

A: Team building activities are generally customised according to the needs and objectives that a company would like to accomplish.

 

Q: Are these activities fun only ?

A: Fun, of course, is an integral part of these activities but company specified objectives also need to be accomplished. And that is where it gets a bit serious in terms of planning and execution.

SCHOOL CHILDREN PROGRAMME
